Le parlement polonais adopte une loi sur la régulation de la cryptographie, enquête sur l'affaire de fraude Zondacrypto

Mars Finance information, according to Reuters, the Polish parliament has passed a cryptocurrency regulation bill to implement the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), and Poland must complete the relevant rule implementation before July.
The legislative background is related to the suspected large-scale fraud involving the Polish cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto.
Polish prosecutors have launched a multi-million dollar fraud investigation, with user losses estimated to exceed 350 million zloty (approximately 95.93 million USD), and thousands of users are currently unable to withdraw funds.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously stated that Zondacrypto might be involved with “Russian funds” and foreign political influence issues.
The exchange’s founder Sylwester Suszek went missing in 2022, and the current responsible person Przemyslaw Kral reportedly has gone to Israel.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki previously vetoed the implementation of the MiCA bill twice, believing that the regulatory requirements are too heavy and could lead to the loss of crypto businesses.
